# Lead Pixel Tracking

> Fire-and-forget lead submission via a 1x1 transparent GIF

## Endpoint

## Parameters

<Note>`tid`, `name`, and `phone` are required. All other parameters are optional.</Note>

## How It Works

1. Browser loads the pixel image
2. Server extracts `tid`, looks up the click
3. Lead is processed in the background (fire-and-forget)
4. Returns a 1x1 transparent GIF

## Limitations

* No JSON response (only a GIF)
* PII in URL may appear in server logs
* Browser must load the image
* **Address fields are PII too** — for sensitive lead data (address, pincode), prefer the [Postback API](/tracking/lead-postback) or the [Web SDK](/sdk/track-lead) with `method: "postback"` so the data never appears in a URL.
